Institutional Vault

An institutional vault is a crypto cold storage system employed by institutions offering cryptocurrency custody services or exchanges securing customer funds. It can support single or multiple virtual currencies depending on the target market.

The Cybavo Vault and Coinbase Vault are examples of institutional vaults. However, their application is different. For instance, the Cybavo Vault, despite being a digital currency storage and wallet manager, integrates functions to enable easy and fast access. Conversely, the Coinbase institutional vault holds user funds that are not in need of high speeds like a crypto exchange.

Institutional vault audits, penetration testing, and multi-signature features guarantee security and access only to legal participants.
