CryptoPunks

CryptoPunks is a collection of 10,000 unique NFTs developed by Larva Labs on the Ethereum blockchain. CryptoPunks were minted in 2017, making it one of the earliest NFT projects to be released. Inspired by the cyberpunk movement and London Punk scene, John Watkinson and Matt Hall created 10,000 unique images, which all exist on the blockchain. The collection was made up of 6039 males and 3840 females.

Although no two characters are the same, some shared a thing or two while others were completely distinct. CryptoPunks were initially available for free for users with an Ethereum wallet. Now Punks are traded on NFT marketplaces.

The Punks are subdivided into four categories: human, alien, zombies, and apes. Each Punk exists as an ERC-721 standard token. Total sales from CryptoPunks since 2017 is $1.4 billion, making it a massively successful project
